Battery Watering System

The photo above shows my battery watering system. It's much easier to use than the conventional watering-can designed for battery watering. The tank is a four-gallon cat food container. I drilled a slightly undersized hole near the bottom to force the plastic tubing into the tank about an inch or so. The hose is 1/4 inch inner diameter, 10 feet long, available from your local hardware store. The nozzle end is robbed from a cheap bug sprayer. The thumb valve makes it easy to control the flow of distilled water into the cells. Gravity takes care of the water flow because the tank is mounted high on the wall above the level of the batteries in the truck.
